Switch to EAO for Miniature Slide Switches with RoHS Compliant!
EAO, the expert in Human Machine Interfaces, introduces the RoHS compliant 1K2, a superior quality changeover slide switch recommended for PCB configuration applications.
The switch occupies a board space measuring only 10mm x 2.5mm with a height of 4.5mm excluding actuator. It is available with 2.54mm pitch pins allowing end-to-end or compact side-by-side mounting on 2.54mm pitch board. Straight or 90° terminal versions are available.
The 1K2 is offered as a single-pole-single-throw version, with a choice of two heights of actuator - standard (red) or raised (black). The raised actuator version makes it suitable for through-panel operation and the switch offers clear tactile feedback as well as instant recognition of switch position when operated.
The contact material is gold-plated nickel, with a tropicalized version, including extra gold plating for operation in saline or damp conditions; it will operate in extremes of temperature, from -40°C to +85°C. The 1K2 has a contact power rating of 6W nominal power and is capable of switching 24V maximum; the contact resistance is <22m ohms. Lifetime at nominal rating is 1,000 operations or 10,000 mechanical operations.
The 1K2 has a fully sealed base making these switches compatible with solvent cleaning. Typical applications include jumper replacement, circuit testing, on / off switch, factory setting and board configuration.
These switches are readily available with prices starting at approximately $0.95 each per unit in quantities of 100. Further quantity breaks also exist.
