OTTAWA, Ontario - February 12, 2007 - SkyWave Mobile Communications (www.skywave.com), a worldwide leader in Inmarsat D+ satellite communications products and services, today announces its SureLinx 8100 D+/GPRS integrated wireless controller has received full Inmarsat Type Approval. Inmarsat is the leading provider of global mobile satellite communications services. With Type Approval, the SureLinx 8100 can be used throughout the global Inmarsat network.

The SureLinx 8100 combines SkyWave D+ satellite terminal technology with quad-band GPRS to enable effortless dual-mode application development with the same high quality and proven dependability the industry has come to expect from SkyWave D+.
The SureLinx 8100 has undergone vigorous beta testing by several SkyWave Solution Providers and is now ready for distribution. Dubai-based Omnitec International, who specializes in applications using GSM/Cellular/Terrestrial, Satellite and RF communications platforms, is one SkyWave customer who has placed product orders.
