Sipera IPCS 210 Delivers Comprehensive VoIP Security to Branch Offices

Sipera Expands Award-Winning Product Line; Adds Functionality to IPCS 310

RICHARDSON, Texas, March 5 /- Sipera Systems, the leader in pure security for VoIP, mobile and multimedia communications, today extended its award-winning line of VoIP security products to enterprise branch offices. The new Sipera IPCS 210 allows for seamless, centralized policy implementations across enterprises with multiple offices, and increases flexibility in determining how to best protect VoIP and other IP communications applications against attacks, misuse, and service abuse. Like the other IPCS products, the Sipera IPCS 210 supports secure enterprise deployment of IP phones, soft phones, WiFi/dual-mode phones, SIP trunks and Click-to-Talk or web phone applications, without compromising established security policies.

Albert Rodriguez, President at AGN Networks, a VoIP service provider, noted that a first line of defense for real-time communications is critical for small medium businesses (SMBs) and branch offices that might lack on site IT support and VoIP expertise. "VoIP, IM and other unified communications are part of today's IT fabric, but security vulnerabilities are a growing concern. There is a lot of interest from our customers in the Sipera IPCS products, to meet the growing need for comprehensive VoIP security deployed at the customer premise."

The Sipera IPCS 210 is designed for SMB and branch offices of up to 200 users, and ensures enterprises can confidently deploy unified communications including VoIP, IM, video and multimedia. The IPCS 210 offers comprehensive VoIP Intrusion Prevention and VoIP Anti-Spam capabilities, based on the award- winning Sipera IPCS 310 technology.

With this release, the IPCS 210 and IPCS 310 devices also offer expanded VoIP Firewall/SBC functionality to enable enterprises to solve firewall/NAT issues, and apply granular signaling, media and security policies to every VoIP, IM and multimedia session based on network, user, device and time of day.

"Giving customers choices and flexibility is particularly important as new technology is integrated into existing enterprises. For enterprises of various sizes and configurations, comprehensive application-layer and end-user security is a prerequisite to deploying today's growing suite of VoIP and collaborative applications," said Krishna Kurapati, Sipera founder and CTO. "For enterprises with distributed branch operations, the IPCS 210 allows firms to cost-effectively deploy unified communications without compromising security requirements."

The Sipera IPCS 210 is available now, supports 200 users, and provides 10 Mbps of throughput. For further information, visit www.sipera.com.
