Single-Phase TTR Tester offers single-handed operation.

Press Release Summary:

Hand-Held Model TTR100 measures turns ratio, excitation current, phase displacement, dc resistance, and polarity of windings in single- and 3-phase distribution transformers, potential and current transformers, and tapped transformers. Featuring built-in data storage and downloading capabilites, unit can measure 20,000:1 turns ratio with accuracy of 0.1%. Deviations in measurements indicate problems in transformer windings or in magnetic core circuits.

First Hand-Held Operated Single-Phase TTR Reduces Testing Time

The unique design of the new Megger TTR100 Hand-held Single-Phase Transformer Turns Ratio Test Set allows the user to operate the instrument while holding it in one hand. This effectively eliminates the user from having to kneel or bend over to operate the instrument and speeds up testing time.

Weighing only 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg), the TTR100 measures the turns ratio, excitation current, phase displacement, dc resistance and polarity of windings in single- and three-phase distribution transformers (tested phase by phase), potential and current transformers, and tapped transformers in a substation or manufacturing environment.

The instrument measures the highest turns ratio in the industry (20,000:1) with an accuracy of 0.1% (0.8 to 2000) or better and with the lowest excitation voltage. The unit is also able to measure phase deviation (in minutes, degrees, or centiradians) of the transformer primary vs. secondary. Deviations in the measurements will quickly indicate problems in transformer windings or in the magnetic core circuits. Other features include fully automatic operation, built-in data storage and downloading capabilities, on-site printing of test results and the operator's choice of "Quick Test" or complete "Full Test" modes.

Megger is one of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of electrical test and measurement equipment.
