MMD Launches Single-Oven OCXO with Ultra-High Stability Rivaling That of More Expensive Double-Oven Units

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif., July 27, 2006 - MMD Components (Monitor & Quartztek), a producer of frequency control devices, has introduced a single-oven oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) that combines ultra-high stability with moderate pricing to rival competitors' more expensive double-oven units.

Using proprietary compensation and stabilization methods, the new OCXOs can maintain a frequency stability as low as 1 ppb over an operating temperature range of -20ºC to +70ºC. Highly polished SC cut crystals are employed to maintain extremely low frequency drift over time. A customer can specify sine wave or CMOS output and units are available from a frequency range of 1 MHz to150 MHz.

Package size is 50.8 x 50.8 x 25.4 millimeters (2 x 2 x 1 inches).

Availability for the single-oven OCXOs is stock to 14 weeks, with prices starting at $295 each in 25-unit quantities.
