TTI Introduces 1300 nm Single Mode Video Link

Oriskany, New York, November 19, 2001: Terahertz Technologies Inc. has introduced a 1300 nm wavelength, singlemode, fiber optic video link. The V-250-1300-SM video link offers far greater distances without amplification than available with traditional 850 nm wavelength, multimode, versions. In addition to the advantages of ease of use, automatic gain control, and elimination of ground loops, the V-250-1300-SM provides a transmission range in excess of 20 Kilometers. This system is equipped with ST style fiber optic connectors compatible with 9/125 fiber optic cable, a 14 dB link budget, and a bi-color LED that indicates the presence of video signals and proper operation. The receiver's standard automatic gain control compensates for varying cable lengths, degradation of splices, and variations in video signal strength. The V-250-1300-SM transmitter mounts directly on the output BNC connector of the camera or video source. The system is fully compatible with NTSC, SECAM, PAL, and D2MAC video standards. Each system consists of a transmitter, receiver, and two 115/230 VAC power adapters.
