Fiber optic connector cleaning tool for cleaning of connectors in panels and on assemblies

HICKORY, N.C. - Corning Cable Systems LLC, part of Corning Incorporated's (NYSE:GLW) Telecommunications segment, introduces its new Single-Fiber Port Cleaners, proven effective for removing common contaminates such as skin oil, fine dust particulates and liquid residues from connector end-faces loaded in adapters and cable assemblies.

Corning Cable Systems' easy-to-use Single-Fiber Port Cleaners offer more than 525 cleanings per unit. The new cleaners will clean standard connector styles such as the SC, ST® Compatible, FC, E2000, LC and the OptiTap®. The tool's nozzle design ensures proper alignment for cleaning connectors in adapters and enclosures. The dust cap has a lid that opens to accept the ferrule for cleaning cable assemblies. The operator uses a simple push to engage and hears an audible click at the end of the engagement.
