Interface Concept Introduces a MPC7447A/PC7448 Processor-Based 3U CompactPCI Single Board Computer
Briec-de-l´Odet, France, January 2006 - Interface Concept, always committed to meet its customer constant high performance requirements for their demanding application, enhances its MPC7447A or MPC7448 processor-based product range with the introduction of this 3U CompactPCI Single Board Computer, called IC-e6-cPCIa. This new SBC comes in addition to the existing PrPMC model (IC-e6-PMCa) and is ideal for use in defense, automation, network and imaging applications, as these processor are low-power.
This new Single Board Computer is actually designed around Freescale´s PowerPC® e600 processors (MPC7447A-1GHz or MPC7448-1.4GHz). IC-e6-cPCIa board integrates many communication functions, such as two Giga Ethernet channels, two High/full speed USB2 ports, two multi-purpose serial controllers and two high/full speed ports. The memory banks are made of 256/512MB DDR-ECC SDRAM, 128KB ultra-fast SRAM, 32KB FRAM, 64MB Flash EPROM and up to 1 GB of Nand Mass Flash. A PMC expansion slot permits the addition of a 64-bit PMC card.
The IC-e6-cPCIa basic software is based on UBOOT together with a comprehensive Power-on Built-In Test and a set of maintenance tools.
A Board Support Package (BSP) and an enhanced BSP are provided with the board for VxWorks® and Linux® operating systems.
This board is designed to meet the most severe environments (available in standard, extended and conduction-cooled grades)
