Arista Announces New ETX Single Board Computer for Use in New Systems Design
ETX-602 CPU Module Ideal For Military, Industrial and Medical Applications
FREMONT, Calif., - Feb. 19, 2003 - Arista Corporation, a leading industrial PC solutions provider and system integrator, today announced the availability of its latest ETX embedded computing board featuring a low power Mobile Intel® Pentium III(TM) or Celeron processor. Designated ETX-602, the new board is an extension of the company's current ETX technology and is ideal for portable devices, as well as industrial applications including medical and military configurations.
Featuring Intel's latest µFCBGA Package Mobile Processors, the ETX-602 supports a low voltage 800MHz Pentium III processor running at 1.15V and 11.2W TDP(max), a 933MHz processor at 1.15V and 12.2W TDP(max), an ultra low voltage 400MHz Celeron processor at 0.95V and 4.2W TDP(max), and a 650 MHz processor at 1.1V and 8.3W TDP (max). The low voltage 800MHz Pentium III processor has 512K of L2 cache and the ultra low voltage Celeron
is equipped with 256K of L2 cache, which is double the cache available in previous generations of Intel mobile processors. These processors run at lower voltage, consuming less power and
providing a greater performance for current applications.
The ETX-602 features four USB ports, keyboard and mouse controllers and a 10/100Base-T Ethernet controller for high-speed access to the Internet or a secure network. Allowing for a
visual interface of the device, the board is equipped with an integrated Savage4 2D/3D Video Accelerator for a flat panel or CRT display up to 1280 x 1024 screen resolution.

The board connects to the rest of the embedded system through high-density, low profile, surface-mount connectors, which carry both ISA and PCI bus signals as well as dedicated I/O interfaces. The ETX modules from Arista are scalable and interchangeable, and they make possible the rapid development of semi-custom solutions for embedded applications.
