AAEON proudly announces the ECM-5716. It is a powerful 5.25" SBC aimed at embedded applications requiring dynamic multimedia and data processing capability in a small footprint solution, with edge connectors that reduce cabling requirements.
Small in Size, Powerful in Performance
Utilizing an Intel(TM) Pentium 4 Mobile processor (not included in A1 version and included in P11-A1 version) and 855GME chipset, the ECM-5716 provides high speed performance with 400 MHz FSB, and features one DDR socket handling up to 1GB DDR 266 SDRAM, LVDS, Audio and Dual LAN. The 855GME Chipset graphics system provides integrated AGP with a 128-bit 3D GUI engine.
Versatile Display Functions
Its onboard Intel(TM) 855GME chipset delivers ultimate graphics support with an integrated AGP 2D and 3D graphic engine that supports LCDs/CRTs with a frame buffer up to 64 MB. The ECM-5716 supports TMDS and LVDS with simultaneous CRT/LCD display. The LVDS transmitter permits 24 to 48-bit flat panel displays, supporting 1280 x 1024 panels at 16bpp (60Hz).
Rich Multimedia, Networking & Expansion Features
Furthermore, the ECM-5716 is AC97 2.0 compliant with 5.1 channel surround sound. Ethernet function is available by using the built-in Intel(TM) 10/100Base-Tx Ethernet Controllers (ICH4) and the onboard 82551ER PCI-bus Ethernet controller. A Gigabit Ethernet controller is optional.
The board comes with two IEEE 1394 (Firewire) ports and quad USB 2.0 ports that deliver increased maximum bandwidth for I/O-intensive applications. Other features include two serial ports, one parallel port and dual UltraDMA 100 IDE ports supporting four EIDE devices. One CF slot supports Type I/II CompactFlash storage devices. A single PCMCIA Type I/II slot gives added versatility.
