DTI Introduces Powerful 3.06GHZ Intel® Xeon(TM)-Based PICMG PCI/ISA Single Board Computer
LBC-9017 brings Xeon NetBurst(TM) Micro-Architecture, Hyper-Threading technology, 533MHz FSB, dual Gigabit Ethernet, and Ultra320 SCSI to embedded/applied computing applications.
March 25, 2003 - Diversified Technology's LBC-9017 Intel Xeon / Low Voltage Xeon processor-based PICMG 1.0 Rev. 2.2 compliant passive backplane SBC addresses high performance broadcast/media (VOD...), wire line and wireless datacom/telecom, storage area networks, industrial control & automation, and medical diagnostic imaging markets.

About the LBC-9017
The high performance LBC-9017 features an Intel Low Voltage Xeon at 2.0GHz or Xeon processor at up to 3.06GHz with 512KB full core speed L2 cache, Intel E7501 chipset with 400/533MHz front side bus, and up to 4GB DDR200/266 DIMMs, with full ECC support, on two sockets. Onboard are an integrated high performance graphics controller, dual 10 Base-T/100 Base-TX/1000Base-T gigabit Ethernet auto-negotiating controllers, PCI Ultra DMA/100 IDE interface, CRT or Flat Panel video controller as well as Universal Serial Bus (USB 1.1) ports, serial/parallel ports, and floppy interface. An Ultra320 SCSI Hub Link 2.0 (1GB/s) daughter card is optional.
The LBC9017 supports onboard PCI and PCI-X (used by GbE) busses as well as an off-board 32-bit/33MHz or 64-bit/66MHz PCI buss. A PCI to ISA bridge supports ISA bus mastering with up to 20-slot drive capability.
The AMI BIOS, in field upgradeable Flash ROM, supports peripheral enable/disable, serial/parallel port re-mapping/disable, and is PnP compliant. Other features include a hardware monitor (voltages, temperature, and fan), three-stage programmable watchdog timer, diagnostic LEDs, and a 2 year limited warranty.
Pricing and Availability
OEM pricing for the LBC-9017, excluding memory, starts at $1695 with a 2.0GHz Low Voltage Xeon processor. Production shipments will begin in May.
