Original Press Release:

Core(TM) 2 Quad SBC for Laboratories and Industry

The new high-performance CyberResearch(r) CEGB single-board computer supports Core 2 Quad CPUs, 1066 MHz FSB speeds, dual gigabit LAN, and 2 GB of DDR2 RAM. For laboratory and industrial needs, it also supports up to 6 SATA drives and 9 expansion cards at temperatures up to 60°C (140°F).

Most home and office computers have little need for multiple drives and expansion boards. But laboratory and industrial PCs used for data acquisition and motion or process control frequently need a large number of expansion boards for their specialized tasks and a large number of hard drives to quickly record and protect enormous amounts of data. The also need speedy CPUs and lots of RAM to handle multiple simultaneous processing tasks.

That's why CyberResearch, Inc. offers the new CEGB single-board computer. Not only does it support the most powerful CPUs, spacious RAM, and dual gigabit Ethernet, it also provides 10 USB 2.0 ports, 8 DIO lines, and 2 RS-232 ports. It offers 5.1 surround sound, with an optional 7.1 audio backplate. A Watchdog timer can restart the computer in case of a power failure, and 3 temperature sensors make sure that operation can continue safely up to 140°F.

In addition to CEGB SBCs - now shipping from stock from $1195 - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers rugged industrial PCs and monitors, as well as CPU cards, data acquisition, and motion control. For more information, call Joe Tetreault at 800-341-2525, or visit http://www.cyberresearch.com/mobo.
