AXIOMTEK Rolls Out Cost-Effective, Low-Power AMD Geode LX800 3.5-Inch Single Board Computer- SBC84622
February 10, 2009 - AXIOMTEK unveils a new cost-effective 3.5" embedded board, the SBC84622, which supports an onboard low power AMD LX800 500 MHz processor with the AMD Geode CS5536 chipset. The flexible display function is supported by integrated graphics controller which allows users to configure both CRT and LVDS LCD or CRT and TTL LCD as simultaneous mode. Onboard one DDR SODIMM supports up to 1GB of system memory. Having such compact design with fanless operation, the SBC84622 can be applied in widely embedded and automation applications such as industrial automation, automation control, telecommunication, and process control.
With small footprint of only 146 x 104 mm, standard 3.5-inch form factor, the SBC84622 comes with rich I/O connectivity including four COM ports (RS-232), four Hi-speed USB 2.0 ports, dual Gigabit LAN ports, one CompactFlash(TM) Type II socket, PS/2 keyboard & mouse, AC'97 Codec audio, one PATA-100 IDE, and Digital I/O. Two highly integrated Realtek RTL8139DL 10/100 Ethernet controllers feature remote wake-up to increase cost-efficiency in network maintenance and management. A watchdog timer is included to keep system running smoothly. Moreover, the system only requires +5V DC input.
