Singapore Airshow 2008 Implements Mobile Ticketing for Visitors

SINGAPORE, Feb. 19 - bCODE, the world's most reliable mobile ticketing and mobile coupon solution and partner, Venture Corporation Limited ("Venture"), a leading global electronics services provider, announced today the launch of mobile ticketing service for trade visitors to the 2008 Singapore Airshow.
The Singapore Airshow is Asia's largest aerospace and defence event and one of the top three air shows in the world. It is held from 19 to 24 February 2008 and expects to receive more than 80,000 visitors to the event.
The new mobile ticketing service, powered by bCODE's unique scanner technology and further developed as a total ticketing solution by Venture, will reduce the check-in time for a trade visitor from minutes of manual processing down to a few seconds of self-service. Gone are the days of lining up for your registration tag at a conference.
This mobile ticketing option was offered to all pre-registered patrons of the event. If a user chooses the bCODE mobile ticketing option, he or she will be sent the mobile ticket in the convenient form of a short messaging service ("SMS") prior to the event. Upon arrival, the patron simply scans his or her phone on one of the 15 bCODE Readers to gain admission and receive their personalized conference tag.
The Singapore Airshow chose Australian company bCODE, now based in Los Angeles, as their mobile ticketing technology provider due to the ubiquity of its SMS-based solution. bCODE technology enables any transaction token, such as a ticket or coupon, to be wirelessly sent to more than 99% of the three billion existing mobile phones and PDAs in the market today, by using a simple plain-text SMS message. bCODE's Reader then scans this secure bCODE ticket off the phone screen as if it was a barcode. The scanning itself takes less than half a second.
The device, carrier and geography-independent nature of bCODE's ubiquitous delivery capability is especially well suited to the largely international audience of this event, who will be carrying mobile devices originating from all around the world.
