Environmental Tectonics Corporation Introduces Entry-Level ADMS-COMMAND(TM) Trainer
Modular Training System Uses Virtual Reality to Affordably Prepare Responders for Disasters
SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., July 10 / -- Environmental Tectonics Corporation (AMEX:ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") today announced the latest Advanced Disaster Management Simulator (ADMS(TM)) product, ADMS-COMMAND.
ADMS-COMMAND is an entry-level, modular ADMS system developed for emergency response agencies with limited training space or other financial or operational restrictions. ADMS-COMMAND uses the same proven technology used in the full, multi-station ADMS-TEAM system, but in a more adaptable and flexible configuration.
ADMS-COMMAND is a single laptop-based training simulator which is expandable into a team training system with the purchase of additional stations. Students can train and practice on their own or team with a training officer to develop emergency problem-solving capabilities through demanding, stressful situations where results are derived solely by the student's decisions.
The new ADMS-COMMAND comes with two dynamic training scenarios selected from a multitude of incidents and disasters. Additional or custom scenarios can be purchased individually or as part of a subscription option. ADMS-COMMAND is a low-cost training system available for under $50,000 in the United States.
ADMS simulates emergency incidents such as terrorist acts, weapons of mass destruction, hazardous material spills, multi-vehicle road accidents, fires and natural disasters and trains responders in the four C's of disaster management: Command, Control, Coordination and Communication. ADMS authentically simulates the dynamic elements of the environment (people, vehicles, threats) that are significant in a disaster situation, and the outcomes of actions taken provide authentic feedback, resulting in real skill building.
For over a decade, ADMS has been in use at U.S. Airports and major firefighting and emergency response training facilities worldwide. ADMS is an industry-proven and mature solution for optimal emergency preparedness.
ETC also designs, develops, installs and maintains aircrew training systems, public entertainment systems, process simulation systems (sterilization and environmental), clinical hyperbaric systems, environmental testing and simulation systems, and related products for domestic and international customers.
