Lanner Releases Witness 2003 Simulation Software
New version of industry-leading simulation software focuses on user productivity
HOUSTON, TX (March 4, 2003) - Lanner Group, the business performance improvement specialist, announced today that it will begin shipping WITNESS 2003, a new version of its independently-rated, world-leading simulation modeling software, to U.S. customers in mid-March.
The theme of the WITNESS 2003 release is 'Working with You." The enhancements in WITNESS 2003 focus on the usability of the software for all levels of users, from business users to dedicated simulationists. In this release, Lanner has introduced significant changes to the handling and functionality of the product to make it both easier to work with and more powerful for advanced users.

The enhancements cover a broad range of features including new flexibility for complex labor and resource management, a new dynamic variable concept, wider element attribute coverage and new containers functionality. An improved "look and feel" has been provided to help simplify and accelerate the model build process. Features include many new toolbar options for model layout including isometric grids and flexible co-ordinate systems; new grouping concepts for easy access; and a new "multi-designer" template for fast access to different market and application templates.
Simulation modeling is an excellent way of communicating and collaborating, enabling information sharing both within and between companies. WITNESS 2003 has a complete new range of fully customizable charts and reports with wizard options. It also supports new group displays which are very useful for process diagram support. Visualization of processes or business models improves communication and understanding. WITNESS 2003 supports a new release of the 3D Viewer technology and offers a platform for many new device plug-ins.
