Silicone Compound is electrically conductive.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for bonding and sealing applications, 2-component, graphite-filled Master Sil 155 has 1:1 mix ratio by weight and cures at ambient temperatures or with heat. Controlled viscosity of silicone elastomer formulation produces smooth paste for complete fill-in around complicated contours. Compound exhibits elongation greater than 300%, resistance to shock and vibration, and less than 0.15% shrinkage upon cure. Operating temperature range is -85 to +400°F.

Original Press Release:

New Graphite Filled Electrically Conductive Silicone Compound

A new two component graphite filled electrically conductive silicone compound for high performance bonding and sealing is now available from Master Bond Inc., Hackensack, N.J. This system is called Master Sil 155 and has a convenient 1 to 1 mix ratio by weight. It cures at ambient temperatures or more quickly at elevated temperatures. The tightly controlled viscosity of this silicone elastomer formulation produces a smooth paste which assures complete fill-in around complicated contours in even very complex configurations.

Master Sil 155 is a tough, flexible compound with an elongation >300%. It has both high tensile strength and excellent resistance to shock and vibration. Shrinkage upon cure is less than 0.15%. It has a service operating temperature range of -85°F to +400°F. Master Sil 155 is available in 1/2 pint, pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon pail containers.
