Original Press Release:

Silence High Volume Exhaust without Back Pressure Using FA-51 Series Silencers

3/3/09

Vaccon Company, Inc. of Medway, Massachusetts offers a durable and versatile line of silencers that can be used on all pneumatic devices and in any facility operating equipment that uses compressed air. The FA-51 Series silencers reduce noise for high volume exhaust applications without causing back pressure or hindering performance. They are ideal for quieting large air valves, vacuum pumps, cylinders, and air motors that must exhaust quickly to maintain high cycle rates.

The FA-51 silencer is made up of two components: a threaded adapter and a replaceable filter element. The replaceable element has a large area inside to absorb sound and debris, creating a safer, quieter work environment. The FA-51 is a low maintenance, economic silencer. If the silencer gets clogged due to a dirty environment, simply unscrew the replacement element and put a new one on the adapter.

FA-51 Series silencers are available in 3 thread sizes: ¼" NPT, 3/8" NPT, and ½" NPT. The exhaust port of the pneumatic device determines the size of the silencer. Maximum operating pressure is 150 PSIG.
