Situated in the IPTV Zone in Hall 9, Signiant's Booth IP731 will present the extended range of industry-standard solutions which are now available at a range of price points.
As Signiant continues to develop enterprise-level solutions that allow content creators, broadcasters, digital platforms and studios to migrate seamlessly to file-based operations and digital workflows, it has also been working hard to develop new offerings to the ecosystem of companies who work with these larger organisations. Companies such as post-production houses, distributors, platform owners, dubbing and subtitling facilities and other media industry service providers, can now utilise a scaled-down version of the content management technology that is used by international organisations including NBC, (http://www.nbc.com/ ) Discovery Communications, (http://corporate.discovery.com/ ) BBC (http://corporate.discovery.com/ ) and Fox, (http://www.fox.com/ ) at a more accessible price point.
These new cost-effective tools - Content Point, Content Transporter and Content Transfer Engine - provide a starting point for content management workflows for these companies that may not be ready for an end-to-end Signiant solution but still need to move content quickly, securely and cost-effectively. They also deliver a significant business advantage to smaller companies by allowing them to connect more easily with major Signiant-enabled broadcasters.
o Content Point provides a single node to manage point-to-point file movement. It is ideal for single location companies that need to connect to Signiant-enabled partners and other external organisations, and can be used for tasks such as supplying digital dailies, collaborative content creation, editorial review and language translation.
o Content Transporter is aimed at enterprises with 5 to 15 nodes to connect both internal sites and external partners and facilitate simple collaboration and content exchange. Content Transporter is ideally suited for use during the production, capture or creation of content where multiple sites need to exchange data quickly, securely and reliably with tight business deadlines.
o The Content Transfer Engine is an embedded transport technology for web-based applications. It provides a content portal to provide fast, secure and reliable movement of large files over the WAN, regardless of file size or location.
