Eurotherm, Action Instruments Announces New, Field Configurable, Potentiometer Input, Isolating Signal Conditioner with TouchCAL(TM) Technology, Model AP4003-0001
SAN DIEGO, CA - Eurotherm, Action Instruments, announces immediate availability of the new Action Pak® model AP4003-0001, potentiometer input, isolating signal conditioner with TouchCAL(TM) technology. This field configurable, socket mount device accepts a potentiometer input and provides a selectable DC output.
Model AP4003-0001 is powered by either 120 or 240VAC (jumper selectable) and is field configurable for any three-wire potentiometer input from 100W to 100KW. The outputs can be field configured for the most popular DC signal ranges: 0-10V, 0-5V, 0-20mA, and 4-20mA. This outstanding flexibility ensures that the device is available off-the-shelf, just when you need it, thereby reducing your inventory carrying costs. Configuration via DIP switches is remarkably simple and enables maximum setpoint resolution.
TouchCAL(TM) technology, a standard feature on the AP4003-0001, replaces the mechanical and thermal variability of potentiometers with the electronic stability of a microprocessor. This enables up to 80% (90% with ±0.2% span linearity) adjustment of zero and span and carries with it a string of benefits. It provides a reliable, digitally stable circuit ensuring better long-term performance and reliability. Calibration is as quick and easy as inputting the desired maximum and minimum signal levels and pressing a recessed button to store the values in non-volatile memory.
The AP4003-0001 is supported by a LIFETIME WARRANTY. Additionally, the AP4003-0001 is designed to exceed UL and CSA requirements (approval pending).
