Signal Conditioner features integral electronics.

Press Release Summary:

Powered by external power source or 9 Vdc battery, Model 5100 conditions signals from piezoelectric transducers with integral electronics. It provides constant current excitation, decouples input bias voltage, and amplifies signal to provide ±5 V max output. Gain is switch selectable to 1 or 10 and frequency ranges from 0.05 Hz to 100 kHz. Front panel LEDs indicate if unit is operating, if transducer is faulty, or if internal battery is low.

VIP SENSORS Announces New Integral Electronics (IEPE) Piezoelectric Signal Conditioner

San Juan Capistrano, California - VIP SENSORS introduces the new Model 5100, a small, light-weight, battery-powered signal conditioner. It conditions the signals from piezoelectric transducers with integral electronics (IEPE). It provides constant current excitation, decouples the input bias voltage, and amplifies the signal to provide a +/- 5 volts maximum output. Its gain is switch selectable to be 1 or 10.
Model 5100 is powered by either an external power source or a 9 volt DC battery. LEDs on its front panel indicate if it is operating, if the transducer is faulty (open or short), or if the internal battery is low. The input and output connectors are BNC. Frequency characteristics range from 0.05 Hz to 100 KHz.

VIP Sensors offers a range of piezoelectric and voltage mode accelerometers, signal conditioners, data acquisition systems, cable assemblies and accessories. Shock and vibration calibration services are also available for all types of accelerometers. The company's strength is in its technical expertise in sensor and electronics design. VIP Sensors' goal is to provide state-of-the-art, quality products at a very competitive price.
