Combilift Introduces C6000 GT Sideloader at NA2004

Cleveland, NA2004 Combilift Ltd. recently introduced the C6000 GT lift truck to its product line in the United States. Seen first at the recent NA 2004 material handling show in Cleveland, the C6000 GT is a 6,000 lb.- capacity sideloader with an LP gas engine designed to operate principally in steel service centers and outdoors in storage yards and loading areas.

The lift truck is available in two models with capacities of 6,000 lbs. and 10,000 lbs. and lift heights to 30 ft.

A narrow aisle configuration and the versatile maneuverability of the C6000 GT permit operation in confined areas and is ideal for moving material between storage and processing or for moving work-in-process through confined areas of cutting, bending, welding or finishing in metalworking facilities.

An internal combustion, propane engine permits both indoor and outdoor operation, eliminating double handling and reducing fleet size. The engine eliminates costs associated with batteries, battery maintenance, and charging facility maintenance.

Super-elastic, cushion tires on the rear ensure load stability during travel in rough yards and provide a cushioned ride for the stand-up operator compartment to lessen occurrence of back injury. The compartment is equipped with rubber mounted, full glass panels to protect an operator from the elements but provide excellent visibility.

The C6000 GT features hydrostatic drive and brakes for precise speed control in confined spaces and high torque for semi-rough terrain, ramps and docks. The absence of friction brakes and corresponding lack of shoes/disc pads contributes to economies of maintenance and reduced stocking of replacement parts. Various fork configurations and spreader-bar attachments are available.

The LP gas engine can be fitted with an optional 3-way catalytic converter and exhaust gas sensor with feedback to the fuel delivery system, permitting 2-shift indoor use and improved fuel economy with reduced emissions.
