Automated Assemblies Introduces New Raptor® High Performance Side Entry Robot



Packaging, IML/IMD and Thin Wall Injection Molded Part Robotic Workcell Solutions

CLINTON, MA (November 21, 2005) - Automated Assemblies Corporation, a leading U.S. designer and manufacturer of robots and workcell solutions for the plastics injection molding industry, has introduced the newest addition to the Raptor® advanced technology product line. The Raptor® SE-310 High Performance Side Entry Robot, with configurations available for presses from 100 tons to 600 tons, delivers molded parts at speeds of over 5.2 meters per second. Ultra-lightweight carbon fiber end of arm tooling and the patented InteliMotion(TM) dynamic Raptor motion control combine to deliver responsive and repeatable part handling of molded parts.

The Raptor SE-310 High Performance Side Entry Robot was developed by Automated Assemblies in response to the quest of manufacturers for more flexible and efficient part handling at rates that match consumer demand. Sold under the Raptor name, the SE-310 is easy to install and operate, and is available integrated with an IML/IMD Workcell or Packaging System.

As with all Raptor products, multiple camera Raptor Vision(TM) is available as an integrated part inspection option. Key features of the Raptor SE-310 High Performance Side Entry Robot are:
