New Dual-Stage Side Access Filter Housing Offers Compact Design, Leak-Free Performance

Riverdale, N.J., November 2003 - Camfil Farr has introduced a new side access air filtration housing that combines a compact, minimum depth design with "leak-free" filter performance. The "Camfil Farr 5P Glide/Pack®" housing accommodates a 2" HVAC grade prefilter and a 4" or 6" deep high efficiency HVAC grade final filter. Designed for use in commercial, industrial or medical facilities, its short depth is ideal for today's mini-pleat final filter technologies or for many systems that use traditional rigid filters or extended surface pocket filters. The 5P Glide/Pack offers the industry's lowest filter bypass leakage rate, ensuring that the air filtration system will perform at its expected efficiency. A fin seal on the filter track limits the leakage of unfiltered air across the filter assembly to less than ½ of 1 percent at rated airflow. A neoprene door gasket and UV-resistant, star-style door handles ensure an equally reliable housing-to-filter seal. Ease of use is another benefit of the 5P Glide/Pack housing. Featuring 16-gauge galvanized steel construction with pre-drilled standing flanges, it mates easily to existing HVAC equipment. Dual-access, swing-open doors facilitate service from either side of the unit. All components are weatherproof to allow indoor or outdoor/rooftop installation.
