SICK Rolls Out Level and Pressure Measurement Sensor Lines

Minneapolis, Minn. - SICK (www.sickusa.com), one of the world's leading manufacturers of sensors, safety systems, machine vision, and automatic identification products for factory and logistics automation, today announced it has launched new lines of sensors for level and pressure measurement. Pressure and level measurement sensors are typically used in food and beverage processing; machine tools for lubricating, hydraulic, pneumatic and cooling processes; automotive for hydraulic pressure measurement and hopper level measurement, and other industries.

SICK's level sensors measure liquid and bulk solids. Whether continuous liquid measurement, point-level measurement or both, SICK offers a range of solutions for efficient processing in process engineering, storage or protection. And, no matter if the application is for monitoring bulk material using conveyor systems, continuous filling level supervision in surface mining, or complex point-level measurements in silos or storage containers, SICK offers a solution that is ideal for the heavy demands of the bulk processing field.

SICK offers pressure transmitters and sensors that work together to measure the pressure of gases or liquids. Measurement of pressure plays a central role in many areas of manufacturing.

In industrial applications, pressure measurement typically occurs with the help of pressure transmitters. The equipment delivers a continuous current or voltage signal proportional to the pressure applied. SICK's pressure sensors are also available in various precision classes with extended temperature ranges or with flush-mounted diaphragms for hygienic applications. Electronic pressure switches are characterized by their digital switching outputs, which are activated or deactivated when defined, programmable threshold levels have been reached.
