Edmund Optics Announces TECH SPEC(TM) Shortpass Filters

January 31, 2005, Barrington, NJ, Edmund Optics announced the availability of TECH SPEC(TM) Shortpass filters in NIR wavelengths from 750nm to 1100nm. These filters are designed to have a very sharp transition from transmission to reflection, making them extremely useful for fluorescence applications, separating spectral orders, machine vision, and creating custom, efficient bandpass filters when combined with our color glass longpass filters. With an average transmission of 85% and a blocking optical density of 2.0, excellent contrast can be achieved. A single layer AR coating on the back surface enhances the overall efficiency of each filter.
