Shock Accelerometer Calibration Service complies with MIL-STD-810G.

Press Release Summary:

Shock accelerometer calibration service is in accordance with MIL-STD-810G, Method 517, Change 1, which requires piezoelectric shock accelerometer manufacturers to calibrate sensors to full scale, including amplitude linearity. Service covers ICP® accelerometers from 100 Hz to upper 1 dB frequency per ISO 17025. High-G amplitude linearity verification to sensor's maximum G range is also provided. Sensors are subject to standard 10 Vdc calibration or optional user defined values.

PCB Piezotronics Inc. Announces Improved Shock Accelerometer Calibration Services

New Service in Compliance with New MIL-STD-810G

Depew, NY - PCB Piezotronics, Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacture of microphones, vibration, force, torque, load, strain, and pressure sensors, as well as the pioneer of ICP® technology is pleased to announce improved calibration services in accordance with the pending MIL-STD-810G, Method 517, Change 1. The change requires piezoelectric shock accelerometer manufacturers to calibrate these sensors to full scale, including amplitude linearity. This service is provided at no additional cost on all new piezoelectric and ICP® shock accelerometers. It is also available as a re-calibration service for existing users of PCB® and competitive models. The service provides an amplitude response calibration for a piezoelectric or ICP® shock accelerometers from 100 Hz to its upper 1 dB frequency per ISO 17025 and a High-G amplitude linearity verification using a Hopkinson bar to the sensor's maximum g range and is NIST traceable.

All PCB® piezoelectric, ICP® and piezoresistive MEMS shock accelerometer sensing elements are fabricated from our own unique mixture of piezo-ceramic materials or micro-machined from single crystal silicon in-house at a PCB® ISO-9001 certified facility in the USA. Our vertically integrated manufacturing allows complete control of product quality. Each PCB® shock MEMS accelerometer is tested to its full over-shock limit prior to calibration and is supplied with a standard 10 VDC calibration or optional user defined values.
