WAGO Introduces Easy to Use Shield Clamping Saddles

GERMANTOWN, WI – WAGO’s 790 Shield Clamping Saddles now come with a patented latching mechanism offering unparalleled usability.

Force-free installation is guaranteed via a spring that can be easily latched open while positioned over the conductor and the busbar and just as easily released on the conductor shield.

For added safety and convenience it offers two marking locations to accommodate the WMB marker and multi-line continuous marking strip. Ergonomically designed to ensure enhanced usability the 790 Series features large, recessed grips that make tensioning of the spring extremely convenient. The spring clamp also offers the precise pressure required for optimal contact and shielding effect.

The 790 Series is available in three variants for shield diameters ranging from 3 to 20 mm. Industry proven accessories such as a specialty slotted carrier-rail and U-shaped busbar are also available for the new shield clamping saddles.
