Shell Introduces Superior Range of Newly Developed Industrial and Transmission Lubricants and Greases

New product range adopts latest synthetic technology to deliver enhanced protection, minimized downtime and prolonged equipment lifetime

Shell Lubricants, the largest branded lubricants supplier in the world, has announced that it has recently released an improved range of industrial and transmission lubricants and greases that deliver enhanced performance and feature an innovative packaging design that helps customers easily and conveniently select the right products they require.

The new range of lubricants is based around key tiers - Entry, Mainline, Premium and Advanced, which often uses the latest synthetic technology. Each tier offers increasingly efficient levels of protection. Shell products such as Shell Tellus (hydraulic oils), Shell Omala (gear oils), Shell Corena (compressor oils), Shell Spirax (axle and transmission oils), Shell Gadus (a complete range of greases) and Shell Tonna (slideway oils) are structured around each tier.

"Shell is pleased to launch our latest range of products as it strengthens our reputation as a customer-driven company and a leading innovator in the field of lubricants and greases. The newly improved range of lubricants enhances the customer experience right from the product labeling through to enhanced performance and extended equipment life. This is definitely an important milestone that ultimately benefits our customers, giving them an opportunity to re-evaluate their lubricant needs through Shell's superior product range," said Amr Adel, General Manager of Bulk Fuel & Lubricants in the Middle East, Central Asian States and Pakistan.

Shell has further revealed that it has refreshed all of its product line, removing products with overlapping applications or those whose technology had been replaced by more advanced formulas. Shell has also introduced new specialty and synthetic products that further improve the choices available to customers.

Developed through extensive research and fields tests, the new Shell lubricants deliver enhanced protection of engines and moving parts, while minimizing downtime, resulting in more efficient operations. The new products are also developed to help extend maintenance intervals and prolong equipment lifetime, creating greater savings through minimized servicing costs.

The new pack labels and product guides have also been meticulously developed to incorporate new names, colour coding and visual icons that have been proven to help reduce the risk of misapplication in the factory environment and make it easier for mechanics to identify the right product. Moreover, the standardized packaging across the entire range of products also makes storage and stacking a lot easier.

Shell was recognized as the world's number one supplier of lubricants in 2010, the fourth year in a row it has held this title. Leveraging over 70 years of lubricants innovation and adopting the very latest lubricant technology, Shell has developed lubricants and greases that deliver a wide range of benefits, including enhanced protection and extended oil life, increased efficiency, minimized downtime and reduced operating costs.
