Sheet Metal Equipment destacks, feeds, conveys and washes.

Press Release Summary:

Sheet metal blank destacking systems keep steady flow of blanks fed to press. Destackers separate blanks, raise them with overhead vacuum cups to magnetic-roller conveyor or magnetic-belt conveyor, and convey them forward to gage station for pick up by press-feeding equipment. Lift tables maintain blanks at consistent height as stack is depleted. Other equipment includes conveyors, turnovers, blank washers, rollcoaters and first-press blank loaders.

Original Press Release:

Blank Destacking Systems Keep Steady Flow of Sheet Metal Fed to Stamping Presses

Atlas Technologies (Fenton, MI) designs and builds a comprehensive line of sheet metal blank destacking systems that maximize stamping press uptime by keeping a steady flow of blanks fed to the press. They also ensure consistent surface finish quality by keeping blanks free of contaminants that can blemish product finishes.

Atlas destackers separate blanks, raise them with overhead vacuum cups to either a magnetic roller conveyor or magnetic belt conveyor, and convey them forward to a gage station for pick up by press feeding equipment. Lift tables in the systems maintain blanks at a consistent height as the stack is depleted. Applications range from 200 to 1500 parts per hour, with maximum speeds achieved when magnetic belts and lift tables are utilized. Virtually any shape or sized blank can be destacked. Popular applications include high-speed transfer presses and tandem press lines.

Cranesaver Conveyors are typically part of a complete Atlas destacking system. These conveyors queue up stacks of blanks...which can be held on precision pin pallets, dunnage or placed directly on the conveyer, and quickly move them into position under the destack head on demand. Atlas offers a "no interruption" continuous destacking feature that uses carriage- mounted forks to support the last blanks of one stack while the next stack is positioned underneath.

Atlas also builds bundle turnovers (to re-orient blanks) and complete press in-feed automation, including blank washers, rollcoaters that apply a uniform coating of oil or draw compound, and first-press blank loaders.

Atlas destackers and other blank and die handling systems are used extensively in the automotive, appliance, HVAC equipment, lawn and garden and other industries.
