Sharp Packaging Systems Celebrates Its 30 Year Anniversary

Looking Forward to More Advancements in Bagging Equipment and Poly Bags

Sussex, Wisc. – Sharp Packaging Systems is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. In 1984 the company began designing and manufacturing systems for flexible packaging that include the machines, plus the film and bags.

“We have expanded our line of machines and bags dramatically during the past thirty years,” says Mike Menz, president at Sharp Packaging Systems. “We are especially proud of our most recent innovation, our mail order packaging system. With the increase in online sales, we expect to see tremendous growth in customers engaged in retail fulfillment. We’re looking forward to another exciting thirty years!”

Sharp’s line of bagging machines includes systems for any business that requires flexible packaging. There is a full range of equipment available, from semi-automatic machines to complete inline fully automated packaging systems. Their customers include small, single machine operations and global companies with manufacturing plants across the world. Simple and inexpensive maintenance is one of the most compelling selling points for the machines, because parts are non-proprietary and available off the shelf from almost any maintenance supplies company.

Custom made E-Z Bags® are Sharp's most popular bags. They are pre-opened bags on a continuous roll, available both plain and printed, and are used with their patented, packaging systems and other bagging equipment. Their E-Z mailer bag has become a staple in the industry. A variety of bags on a roll are available for just in time delivery.

While celebrating their 30-year milestone, Sharp will be exhibiting this year at PACK EXPO International, November 2 – 5, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill. Sharp will demonstrate their newly improved MAX 12™ and MAX 20™ automatic bagging systems at the show.
