New Browning(R) Brand Helical Shaft Mount Reducer
Emerson Power Transmission (EPT), Ithaca, New York, has introduced a completely redesigned Browning Helical Shaft Mount Reducer.
The new shaft mount line incorporates two new patent-pending features:
(1) A unique Single Tapered Bushing Mounting System that is reversible, allowing the bushing to mount from either side. The new system includes a tapered stabilizer ring that minimizes wobble and resists fretting corrosion. This system reduces the shaft binding found in two bushing systems. The new shaft mount can replace any competitive single or double bushing type shaft mounts.
(2) A newly designed Barrier Seal System. This system combines a v-ring face seal, grease-filled labyrinth and rotating outer flinger to provide triple protection against contamination and oil seal damage.
In addition to 5,9,15 and 25:1 ratios has been added. Tapered roller bearings are standard on the shafts of all Browning Shaft Mount Reducers. The new design provides increased horsepower ratings which allows for downsizing in many applications.
The new shaft mount offers a full line of accessories including backstop kits, modular screw conveyor components, motor mount and belt guard kits.
