Shuttle Computers Introduces the World's First Quad-Core SFF Workstation Line



CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., Feb. 13 -- Shuttle Inc, a leading designer and manufacturer of small form factor systems and components, today announced the availability of the world's first quad-core powered small-form-factor workstations. Shuttle's XPC P2 3700w full systems offer big performance in a compact package while retaining Energy Star compliance for low power consumption.

All of these "Shuttle XPC P2 3700w workstations present the best engineering Shuttle has to offer. It pairs Shuttle's outstanding workstations with Intel's blazing fast quad-core Xeon processors for unmatched levels of performance," said Kevin Tu, Shuttle Product Marketing Manager.

In addition to quad-core prowess and audio, video production and 3D rendering completed in blazing fast times, the Shuttle XPC P2 3700w workstations can be configured with up to 8GB of DDR2 ECC memory -- a perfect match for animators. A 64-bit operating system is a necessity with 8GB of system memory. Shuttle offers the XPC P2 3700w workstations with Microsoft's latest Windows Vista Business 64-bit and previous Windows XP Professional 64-bit to take advantage of systems configured with over 4GB of memory. Microsoft's Windows Vista Business 32-bit and Windows XP Professional are also available for those who would prefer it.

The Shuttle XPC P2 3700w workstations offer a variety of storage sizes to suit everyone's needs. This model is configurable with up to 2.2 terabytes of storage space; something to consider when producing high definition videos or designing the next big project.

Graphics needs may vary depending on the required tasks so Shuttle offers a variety of ATI FireGL and NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards in the Shuttle XPC P2 3700w full systems to support the applications of a variety of workstation users.
