Supercritical Fluid Technologies, Inc. introduces the SFT-100 Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) System. This new, moderately priced SFE was developed to investigate the feasibility of applying supercritical fluid techniques to various analyses and processing challenges. Whether it's repetitive laboratory analysis, teaching laboratory application, or process development, the SFT-100 is an excellent introduction to supercritical fluid extraction.

The SFT-100 System is a fully functional instrument, designed to perform extractions in a supercritical fluid media. This SFE system offers the flexibility and safety features usually found only in higher priced extraction systems.

Reliable, dual sapphire syringe pump technology rapidly and accurately pressurizes the SFT-100's stainless steel vessel which is capable of containing supercritical fluids at pressures up to 10,000 psi (69 mPa). The SFT-100 accommodates pressure vessels of up to 100 mL capacity. The large processing vessel enables the user to extract very low levels of key components from materials, or process larger amounts of bulk material than would be possible with conventional, analytical scale SFE equipment. An integrated pre-heater ensures consistent temperature of the fluid delivered to the extraction vessel, thus ensuring efficient, consistent, and repeatable results. An optional co-solvent pump extends the versatility of the SFT-100, enabling extraction of moderately polar compounds.
