New Sewer Camera Caiman from Medit Inc with Advanced Navigating and Viewing Characteristics
Medit Inc, one of the most reliable online suppliers of equipment for remote visual inspections in North America, is happy to announce a new sewer camera, that they have recently added to their line of products online – Caiman.Â
The new Sewer Camera Caiman from Medit Inc. is a ruggedized, yet highly mobile, inspection device with advanced viewing capabilities that makes even longer sewer inspections more comfortable and efficient.
Caiman features a light reel with 2 wheels for more convenient operation that can house up to 120 m (393’) of flexible insertion probe. The probe itself is a durable, water- and oil-proof fiberglass flexible insertion probe with an integral 512 Hz sonde located immediately behind the camera head that helps precisely locate the problem area. The control unit is conveniently mounted on the reel and rotates 360 degrees, which is especially handy for operators who can view inspection images and video on the 7’’ color LCD display from any angle. All the functions can be easily performed by pressing buttons on the control unit or an IR remote control. Â
An additional feature contributing to efficient and precise inspection process is a length counter that informs the operator of how much probe has been inserted. Â
The Caiman Sewer Camera is equipped with 18 high-intensity LED lights and a Ø50mm (1.57”) self-leveling camera with a high-resolution CCD image sensor, ensuring that inspection images are always captured in the upright position. The camera head is protected by an anti-scratch Sapphire lens allowing for inspections in harsh environments.Â
Caiman runs on a rechargeable LI-on battery, however, an additional 13.5V battery back-up station, offering up to 10 hours of image capturing, is included in the set.
