GE Industrial Systems Introduces New Motor


FORT WAYNE, IN - - - GE Industrial Systems announces the release of its newest motor line, the Energy $aver® X$D Ultra(TM) Extra Severe Duty. The X$D Ultra builds on the legacy of GE's X$D motor, long recognized as the workhorse of industrial motors.
The new X$D Ultra has the power to take on the toughest assignments in the process industries. Its power is backed by high endurance and performance to keep it operating at peak efficiency for years.

The X$D Ultra motor integrates the features most often listed as important by industrial motor owners:

To ensure the X$D Ultra's low vibration characteristics, each motor is precisely manufactured and precision balanced to .04 IPS overall. Adding to the motor's reliability is a special bearing system designed to provide superior bearing life,
Class H insulation components throughout for better thermal resistance, and a lower running temperature for longer life. These improvements also allow for smaller, more efficient fans, reducing noise, and in turn, create a much quieter motor.

The X$D Ultra platform is designed completely to NEMA B specification standards. It not only has NEMA B torques, it also meets NEMA B starting current specifications. This assures users can upgrade from lesser motors without stressing electrical distribution systems. All X$D motors have been thoroughly tested in GE's own government certified laboratories.
