Carter's New Wide Belt Sander Set-Up/Diagnostic Device(TM) Improves Quality, Cuts Belt Costs
Grand Rapids, MI. - Carter Products has introduced a new product called the Wide Belt Sander Set-Up/Diagnostic Device(TM). They claim it will help contain abrasive belt costs by enabling users to correctly setup, monitor, and readjust sanding head relative height and side-to-side settings. It can also be used to routinely monitor and adjust pinch roll and hold down shoe settings, thereby avoiding a multitude of problems in processing material and achieving better, more consistent quality.
The concept was developed by Howard Grivna, President and founder of Sanding Systems Consulting and currently a consultant to the 3M Company. Long recognized as an expert in the sanding processes field, he is now involved in a working relationship that grants Carter exclusive rights to manufacture and market his new technology.
In his experience, Grivna found that 90% of multi-head sanders are improperly set up, resulting in high abrasive costs, poor quality, and waste. The new Wide Belt Sander Set-Up/Diagnostic Device, developed to address this problem, is offered in three versions in price ranges to meet various needs. Each come with a 5½" measuring head with spring loaded plunger, a detachable 3-section handle and heavy duty base. Patents are pending on each item. An invaluable Widebelt Sander Set-Up Guideline booklet is also included.
