New AirNC Electro-Pneumatic Servo System Ideal for Food and Packaging Applications
The Rexroth AirNC electro-pneumatic servo system incorporates all functions of a true servo system: position control, speed control and force control, making it ideal for demanding applications like liquid filling and flexible packaging.
The AirNC from Rexroth is a pneumatic servo system designed to be integrated into the main control system through digital, analog or serial communications. The system incorporates all functions of a true servo system: position control, speed control and force control. The system clearly takes pneumatics beyond the offering of traditional pneumatic positioning systems.
The AirNC system includes the following three modular components: AirNC programmable control unit, ND-7 high performance proportional electro-pneumatic valves, and pneumatic actuators with integrated SSI transducers - with hygienically designed all stainless steel actuators as an option. The system offers high pressure/force reproducibility and precise position feedback. Repeatability is +/- 0.7mm. Strokes are available from 25 to 500mm, with accuracy below +/-1mm. Cylinder speeds are between 0.05 to 0.5 meter/second or greater. The system can use up to 4 each analog inputs and outputs, and digitally 8, 16 or 24 inputs and outputs. Major bus protocols are supported for serial communication.
