Designed as a lower-cost, higher performance alternative to all-stainless motors, Gettys' SD-Series Severe Duty Servo Motors surpass IP66 guidelines for complete protection against dust, strong jets of water and the effects of immersion.
SD-Series motors utilize a smooth, finless aluminum housing for maximum thermal efficiency, that is hard-coat annodized and teflon coated to protect against corrosion and provide a non-stick finish. All other external components are 300 series stainless steel. Every effort has been made to minimize cracks and crevices that could entrap food particles, including the use of a single piece motor/feedback housing. A non-contact stainless shaft seal provides maintenance-free protection against moisture intrusion around the shaft opening.
SD-Series motors are designed to survive in the most stringent environments, including the Beef, Poultry, Dairy, Pharmaceutical and Petro-Chemical Industries where cleaning solutions and solvents can range from pH of 1 to 13.
