Compact Servo Motor with Integrated Ball Screw

Dover, NH -- EADmotors' new brushless DC servomotor-based actuator utilizes a precision ball screw and low profile encoder to achieve high linear speed and closed loop control. Compatible with all three-phase brushless DC motor amplifiers, the compact package allows for easy integration into tight spaces.

The NEMA size 23 motor design features permanently lubricated ball bearings and a dynamically balanced rotor to reduce audible noise and vibration and extend motor life. The compact 2.0 inch motor length provides up to 80 oz-in. of peak torque for fast acceleration and speeds up to 5000 rpm at a rated torque of 18 oz-in. A range of ball screws are available to optimize motor performance and linear motion profile.

A multitude of engineered options adds versatility to suit specific customer requirements including windings, ball screw modifications, cables and connectors, and custom mechanical packaging to minimize footprint in customer equipment.

Applications include medical equipment, semiconductor, robotics and syringe pumps, and anywhere high speed linear motion is required in a limited space.
