CANopen Servo Drives For Motion Control Networking

Camarillo, CA...Advanced Motion Controls announces the availability of our new line of CANopen digital servo drives. The DigiFlex® CANopen servo drives are ideal for use in distributed control applications utilizing the CANopen communication protocol. CANopen is a comprehensive embedded machine network, with support for drives, I/O modules, PLC's, sensors, etc. The built-in CANopen interface complies with DS301 and DSP402 standards. State-of-the-art DSP technology is used to close digital current, velocity, and position loops to control brushed or brushless servomotors. Sinusoidal commutation is derived from motor mounted Hall sensors and encoder or resolver. The position and velocity loops can use encoder, Hall sensor, resolver, or analog feedback. In addition, multiple programmable analog and digital inputs and outputs enhance interfacing with other devices. These drives also incorporate a mechanism for multi-axis, coordinated position control. Various drive models are available with output capability ranging from 15 A to 100 A peak and supply voltage ranging from 80 VDC to 460 VAC. Typical applications include: medical equipment, semiconductor fabrication equipment, material handling equipment, and robotic systems.
