Global Security Systems Showcases All Hazards Management Solution Using FM Radio Band at IAEM Conference

Solution Assists with Coordination Efforts to Maintain Business Continuity

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 13 / -- Global Security Systems (GSS) today announced the launch of the Global Security Network at the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) annual EMEX conference. The Global Security Network is a private network alert and notification service that will support Emergency Operation Centers and first responders.

This all hazards management solution uses the FM radio band to allow emergency preparedness officials to receive and deliver timely information during crises. This end-to-end solution relies on GSS's FM-based technology that uses a standard FM commercial receiver chip inserted into mobile communication devices. This mobile and addressable solution offers first responders redundant distribution of emergency alert messages via a local radio station's FM infrastructure.

"Disaster preparedness planning is everyone's civic duty," said Robert Adams, president and CEO, GSS. "Having a predetermined plan in place with defined roles and responsibilities saves lives. The Global Security Network draws upon industry leadership across multiple disciplines to give public safety and homeland security a valuable resource to protect lives and speed rescue, recovery and rebuilding operations."

GSS has partnered with other leaders in their respective industries to provide the hardware and software for the seamless solution. Partners include:

o Buffalo Computer Graphics (BCG), developer of DisasterLAN that is a state-of-the-art tool for managing all aspects of an Emergency Operations Center (EOC);

o Dii Emergency Response Group, a disaster and response and recovery company;

o Spec Ops, a leader in deployable, quickset frames for emergency operations to continue operations of businesses and emergency management units; and

o Operator Qualification & Safety Group, an emergency management and business continuity company that provides preparedness assessments, mitigation and response plans.

The Global Security Network gives emergency management and business continuity professionals a single point of contact, which provides an end-to- end solution from planning (risk management, recovery and continuity) to mitigation (business impact analysis, pre-event process and training) to response (procurement and logistics) to recovery (project management, reconstruction).

Global Security Systems will showcase its Global Security Network and its flagship product, the GSSNet First Alert System, at the annual International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) EMEX conference in Orlando, November 12 - 15.
