Océ Business Services Introduces Océ Onsite Discovery Management

New York, N.Y. (November 20, 2008) - Oce Business Services, Inc., a leader in document process management and electronic discovery, today introduced Oce Onsite Discovery Management, a comprehensive outsourced discovery management service that is located onsite at law firms and corporate legal departments. The discovery management service spans electronic discovery and paper evidence processing as well as litigation technology management.

Oce Onsite Discovery Management allows legal organizations to lower costs, access cutting edge technology, and focus more on their core business and less on operations management. Organizations can also more easily gain electronic discovery expertise and scale the resources they devote to discovery processes as litigation and regulatory demands change.

Discovery Growing Increasingly Complex

"Effectively managing the discovery process has grown increasingly complex due to the rapid growth of electronically stored information and the need for expertise that cuts across legal, IT, records management and compliance best practices," notes Doug Bean, vice president and general manager of Oce Business Services' Records, Compliance and Legal Solutions (RCLS) Division. "Our solution enables clients to outsource the full range of their discovery processes - from identification through collection, processing, review and production - while gaining important business benefits and the control provided by an onsite location."

Oce Offers Three Service Levels

Oce Onsite Discovery Management offers three service levels, each of which includes an onsite discovery consultant to manage projects. The first service level offers a complete discovery management system including electronic discovery processing, paper evidence processing, and litigation technology management. The second service level offers electronic discovery processing; the third level focuses on paper evidence processing. All three service levels provide remote services that include offsite developer resources and access to the Oce dataDeliver(TM) ASP document review system, a Web-based tool that provides collaborative review and production of scanned paper and electronic files.

Pricing for the Oce Onsite Discovery Management service is based on a fixed monthly fee that enables users to better forecast and contain discovery management costs. The fee includes monthly processing allotments for paper and electronic content.

Oce Business Services' RCLS division was named a top provider of electronic discovery services for the third straight year by the Socha-Gelbmann 2008 electronic discovery survey. The division also recently issued a new survey report, "The Discovery-Ready Enterprise II: Challenges and Opportunities on the Road to Litigation Preparedness." The survey clarifies key challenges corporate and law firm attorneys are grappling with and offers recommendations on how to effectively meet the growing demands of legal discovery. The full survey report is available at www.obs-innovation.com.
