Emerson Network Power Unveils Liebert Power Assurance Package to Increase the Performance and Availability of Network Servers and Switches
The package was one of several new offerings announced today at Emerson`s AdaptiveXchange 2006(TM) event in Columbus, Ohio
Columbus, Ohio (October 18, 2006) - Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity(TM), announced today the Liebert Power Assurance Package, which will help companies with smaller, rack-based or tower UPS systems achieve high network availability and eliminate costly downtime. It represents a new approach to small network or remote location power protection by bundling a high-reliability UPS system with a comprehensive on-site service package to ensure the highest levels of availability.
The Liebert Power Assurance Package brings the same level of support and peace of mind enjoyed by companies maintaining large data center power systems to those with compact, rack-based UPS in the 1 kVA to 10 kVA range. The package is available for both the Liebert GXT and Liebert PSI products and combines comprehensive preventive maintenance and on-site repair coverage for five years. It is designed to deliver "high nines" power availability, extend product lifecycle, mitigate risk at a fixed cost, and give companies better control of the business environment by shifting from a reactive to a proactive approach to power management.

The Liebert Power Assurance Package includes a compact high-quality on-line or line-interactive Liebert UPS in the 1 kVA to10 kVA range, onsite system start-up by a certified Liebert engineer*, one preventive maintenance visit*, full parts coverage, and on-site service with a guaranteed 4-hour response time*. Because battery failure is the number one case of UPS failure, it also covers the UPS battery system, providing as-needed battery replacement at no additional cost. (* denotes available on the 6 kVA and 10 kVA Liebert GXT UPS only. Start up, service by a certified Liebert engineer, and preventive maintenance is not included for the 1 kVA to 3 kVA Liebert GXT and Liebert PSI units. The package for those units includes five years of protection, on-site unit replacement (labor and travel included), disposal of damaged unit, inventory tracking).
