Metso Automation Announces Valmet Consistency Transmitter Repair Service
NORTHBOROUGH, MA (March 12, 2004) - Metso Automation's repair service dedicated to insuring the operability and accuracy of more than 50,000 existing Valmet consistency transmitters installed in paper machines worldwide is detailed in a new
brochure. Optimally functioning consistency transmitters are essential to profitable paper manufacturing. Accurate transmitters allow for sufficient fiber content to minimize
paper breaks, excessive downtime and non-saleable product.
All repaired transmitters are subjected to Metso Automation's sophisticated MILLSYM(TM) testing procedures to insure that they meet or exceed the published specifications. This includes a 16-hour hydrostatic pressure test and a computer simulated consistency analysis test to evaluate the instrument's response to three ranges of "shear force." After passing these tests, the repaired transmitters are given a one-year performance
warrantee (just like a new transmitter).
