BT Managed Mobility Solution Helps Enterprises Control Costs of Mobile Assets

Outsourcing Mobile Operations to BT Offers Potential 15% or More in Hard Cost Savings

NEW YORK, April 25 /-- BT has launched BT Managed Mobility to help cut costs and simplify the management of corporate mobile assets, including mobile phones, BlackBerry(R) devices, PDAs, pagers, AirCards® and other wireless assets.

Created to address the spiraling costs of mobile services, BT's Managed Mobility is designed to help customers reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) of their corporate mobile assets while simplifying and centralizing the complex task of managing their mobile contracts and end-users across multiple regions and countries.

Typically, multinational companies have had little choice but to allow the control of their mobile devices to be disseminated across various sites and regions, resulting in multiple contracts with mobile service providers, resulting in substantial roaming expense and making management a difficult task. BT's goal is to save customers 15% or more per user per month in hard cost savings, including recurring monthly usage fees and device maintenance.

Stephen Bruce, Head of US Mobility Practice, BT Global Services, said: "The steadily increasing demand for mobile services within the typical enterprise translates to an increasingly large financial and management burden for our customers. We are pleased to offer a comprehensive service through which BT can help our customers gain control of their mobile services and manage their mobile spend."

BT Managed Mobility is a comprehensive, fully-managed service, including all elements an enterprise needs to ensure cost-efficient control, administration and operation of its mobile devices. In addition to handling wireless device management requirements, BT can bundle in solutions to meet in-building wireless requirements, meet global secure access requirements, provide asset tracking and additional mobile productivity solutions.

Components of the proposition include:
-- Consultancy and Total Cost of Ownership analysis
-- Optimized Contracts and Billing
-- Contract management, including mobile contract negotiations
-- Improved Business Intelligence and Detailed Reporting
-- Asset management
-- Order desk

BT Managed Mobility is available now in the US and Canada. The offer is part of a suite of BT Mobility Solutions to unlock an organization's potential by enabling teams, individuals and assets to flexibly, securely and efficiently interact irrespective of location.
