IBM eServer zSeries 800 Memory Offering for New Workload Environments



Overview
The IBM z800 family of servers is designed to help you build the innovative infrastructure that is required by the new world of fast-growing e-business and new workload data management applications.

To help provide a more cost effective new workload environment, today IBM is making available the z800 Memory Offering for New Workload Environments, a special offering of aggressively priced memory increments (feature number 1208) for use in connection with new workload applications on a z800 server.

Key Prerequisites
This offering is available for z800 customers who are running a new workload environment or customers who purchase capacity for new workloads on a z800 server.

A new workload environment for the zSeries(TM) 800 server for this offering is defined as a z800 server that is running one of the following or any combination of the following:
o Linux
o IBM z/OS(TM).e
o e-business, customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and business intelligence applications which are written in either the Java(TM) programming language or C/C++
