IBM eserver pSeries 690 Enhanced with Faster Processors and Double Memory Capacity
Overview
Faster POWER4+(TM) processors and higher memory capacity add a new dimension to the IBM eserver pSeries® 690 server. These features increase server performance and capacity for customers of new and installed servers.
The blazing 1.9 GHz processors are based on IBM's POWER4+ technology. Higher-speed Level 3 cache options furnish an efficient interface to the processors and memory subsystems.
High-powered 128 GB memory cards double the maximum memory of the p690 server. Higher-speed 633 MHz memory cards help ensure optimum memory subsystem performance when used with the new 1.9 GHz processors.
Other new features include miscellaneous memory features for the p670 Central Electronics Complex. These memory features provide a more consistent memory offering across p670 and p690 product families.

· April 30, 2004, for 1.9 GHz POWER4+ Processor Features (#5241 and #7431) when utilized with switch network interface features (#6432 and #6434)
