ROSTOV-ON-DON, Russia - April 10, 2008: Fast Reports today announces the availability of FastReport Server 2, a new reporting solution that helps generate and deliver reports. Aimed at corporate users, the new server implements a broad Business Intelligence strategy by providing the most requested information vie the internet, intranet or from corporate applications it is embedded to. The server has a full range of remote report-generation tools.
FastReport Server 2 delivers a string of benefits and changes. For example, all registered users of the server now get one license of FastReport Studio Business Edition. You can get this license in Customer User Panel. Demo version of FastReport Studio is included in each install package of the server. As for functionalities, the new release offers changed kernel to FastReport 4. There are added configurations values refresh in run-time, added reports list refresh in run-time, added templates support ("templates" folder), and added start in tray. The product can be installed on a separate server or integrated into available internet or intranet enterprise server. To get started, you need to install FastReport Server, set up the connection to enterprise databases, customize report templates and that's it. Then you can create the needed reports using FastReport Studio, which is included into the package. Reports are accessible from any workstation, and the only thing needed to view them is a web browser. Reports can be built on-demand when the user requests it through the browser or scheduled to be executed at particular time. Reports can be sent to a network printer or emailed in any of 15 formats.
