Introduction of Digi One IA RealPort(TM) Demonstrates Digi's Technology Innovation, Commitment to Industrial Automation Market

(Nasdaq: DGII), a leading provider of Connectware, wired and wireless hardware and software connectivity solutions, today introduced the new Digi One IA RealPort(TM), the latest extension of its Digi One(TM) IA product suite designed to network enable virtually any serial device in the industrial automation environment.
The Digi One IA RealPort allows for connection of new and legacy serial devices and PCs from anywhere on the factory floor, using any operating system. Advanced Modbus and Modbus/TCP features allow for improved sharing of information between various
factory floor devices, and advanced SNMP features allow for management of the industrial device from a centralized location. These features make the Digi One IA RealPort more versatile and cost-effective than other products on the market.
The Digi One IA RealPort was designed to address the specific needs of the industrial automation market. This includes industrial operating temperatures, patented RealPort technology, easy web-based configuration, multi-master capability and complete serial and Modbus MIBs for easy management through SNMP. It also incorporates a switchable EIA-232/422/485 serial interface in addition to a 10/l00Base-T network port.
